Climate Crisis and Clean Energy

 Climate Crisis and Clean Energy

The climate crisis a well-defined challenge of our generation that we are already facing. With devasting storms, floods, melting glaciers and rising sea levels becoming regular facts of life and its more critical than ever that we must face reality and get along with them together. Throwing nature out of balance and putting lives in danger where everybody is helpless at the sake of mother nature, the way we see it is the so-called climate crisis which is the only term that makes sense. Despite the need of professionals to take actions on this key global issue, breaking ourselves into the field is a challenge.
Global warming refers to an increase of annual average temperatures; basically, the world getting hotter overall as we are already experiencing. Climate change on the other hand is the changing of seasonal patterns we see as nature is as out of balance. Climate change might be something that already happening, but the climate crisis is something that we can stop if we act on. Its something we must respond immediately.

Responding to a global challenge begins with discussing the problem open with a global conversation. With that in mind we can identify more familiar facts to know about the climate crisis. When we are talking about climate crisis, we can focus mainly on rising levels of atmospheric greenhouse gases which will hang around for a long period of time. The more carbon pollution is in the air, the more suns energy trapped in as heat. That is as more heat is getting in and less can escape, that’s why things getting hotter. Within the last three years, global sea surface temperatures have been at its highest value resulting strongest hurricanes in both Pacific and the open Atlantic. And its not just hurricanes, as the environment becomes warmer more water evaporates from water bodies leading to both severe flooding and droughts. So, as you are already aware the connection between droughts and wildfires. it is not difficult to understand the situation.
Therefore, as we keep burning fossil fuels food may become harder, fresh drinking water may dry it all up resulting a food and water shortage. And, as the planet continues to warm, it may also imperil public health and undermine the environmental determinants of health including clean air, water and nutritious food. According to the WHO, “”climate change is among the greatest health risks of the 21st century”. So, are we going to continue? The answer is yours.

Thankfully, solutions are at hand. The answers for this crisis are already here. Due to improvements of renewable technologies solar and wind projects which is basically identified as Clean Energy built in more places around the world more cheaply. Solar power is more cost competitive and cheaper than energy from fossil fuels revealing huge potentials to energy markets for the benefit of the environment.
Currently around 15% of the world population lacks access to electricity but with clean energy sources like solar, batteries, LED lights, smart grids, and low carbon technologies, it is getting more affordable.
Therefore, identifying climate crisis as a topmost threat to entire world, we need to emphasize the development of alternative energy such as wind and solar power. The good news is we can change. And we must change. So, speak the truth to power and inspire change with everything you see and do.
Be your own change and let the world accompany you. Let’s a make a change.
