First of all we talk about the meaning of eco-friendly methods. Due to the some reasons, now a days we talk about eco-friendly methods. That reasons are air pollution, erosion and also environmental problems. Theses all problems arise due to some activities of humans. They cut down trees, limit supplies, damage to the earth environment, exploitation of natural resources etc. These activities are directly affected to the Ozone layer. Due to above reasons now a days we talk about this eco-friendly methods. Some of methods are, solar power generator, wind power stations, eco-friendly air conditioners, hybrid cars etc.

When companies use eco-friendly painting materials to paint whole construction, then that project becomes an environment friendly one. Also it may be a long term benefit for world not only to the country. And now a days many companies plant trees around the construction. So it helps to increase Oxygen level percentage in the air. Because of that the process called photosynthesis, leaves get Carbon Dioxide from the air and it provides Oxygen to the air as the extra product of that process. In Sri Lanka many constructions like NSBM Green University, Port City, KDU private hospitals are the newly built hospitals and they are fulfill the eco-friendly technologies.

Conservation of water is an another important fact for sustainable construction. Because watering systems are must including for every constructions. Now a days smart eco-friendly technologies are example for it. Not only that collected and recycled water can be used for things like landscape irrigation. Additional water can be stored or it can be used for watering the plants. Also water condensation from HVAC units can also be collected and used for similar reasons.

Not only that solar power systems wind power stations also can be included to the environmental friendly things. This solar panel system also helpful to any consumption to get solar energy for their main utilities. And solar energy is a environmental friendly thing. Mainly there are lots of advantages using the solar panels. Some of solar energy has the least percentage of negative impact on the environment, reduce the energy bill, can save more money, and it can use everywhere (applicable everywhere). But only disadvantage is initial cost is so expensive. But averagely this is best way to get energy. Not only solar power, wind power also a good, eco-friendly power source to get energy.

But this wind power stations need large area to build the foundation of the power station. But normally it can use to large construction projects. As an example in Sri Lanka, Port city is a large project building which was done by China construction. This wind power stations can implement that land and then can save more energy. And also it’s an eco-friendly method.

Insulation part is one of the main step in many constructions. Construction companies, developers can use eco-friendly materials for sustainable construction projects but in past companies use insulation materials which contains toxic chemicals like petrochemicals and toxic adhesives.
