Climate crisis and clean energy

 Climate crisis and clean energy

“Humanity faces many threats but none is greater than climate change.”- (Prince Charles, U.K). The climatic crisis is a huge gridlock in the 21st century. But unfortunately, people have not understood the crux of this matter. For the majority of the world, the climate is just a fact but not a crisis. Though rapid development in many fields leads the world into a paradise, the same development has become the architecture of man’s destruction. For more than 150 years, global development and energy sources are entangling with each other while sharing an unbreakable bond. But the problem lies with the energy sources which can be also known as greenhouse gases. Do they create a sustainably developed world without any harm to the environment? This is the most crucial point where climate crisis and clean energy should always go in tandem with each other.

Climate Crisis is a huge conundrum that the world is facing today. Climatic crisis mainly deals with global warming, climate changes and how this has paved the way for aggressive climatic changes. Now and then, people have forgotten that man is also a part of the environment and act in a way that they are living in a paradise where the environment is not a part of them. Due to this, it has given tremendous effects on the world in a very devastative manner. Because of this climate crisis, the global temperature is rapidly increasing day by day. This gives so many cataclysmic effects such as sea level rising, melting icebergs in the polar regions and high mountain peaks etc.

Moreover, while peeping into this affair in a very crucial manner, it is very candid that, greenhouse gases stand at the forefront. Normally solar radiations which come from the sun reflects space due to the presence of a harmful gaseous layer, but higher consumption of greenhouse gases has led these reflected radiations to turn towards earth increasing global temperature. This has cause global warming while creating consumption of greenhouse gasses as the hub of the matter.

On the other hand, the World is in a power struggle where physical development has become a must. On the road to physical development, they use many harmful gases such as Carbon dioxide methane and nitrous Oxide. This has given so many destructive effects yet, the World still relies on agreements that only appear in papers. This is the exact moment where the world needs clean energy.

Clean energy is one of the best alternatives for greenhouse gases and is collected from renewable resources such as sunlight, wind, rain, tide and waves. Clean energy becomes prominent in the 21st century due to its unique aspect of not polluting the environment. Clean energy always produces power in a much more sustainable manner without having any sort of negative impacts on the environment. Out of the whole world, only a very few amounts of countries follow these aspects which are followed by the Paris agreement.

In 2015, 195 countries in the world get together and signed the Paris Agreement which is the first-ever universal and legal global climatic agreement. All these countries have agreed to limit the global temperature up to 1.5 degree Celsius. But in a very tragical manner even after all these strategies, world temperature has increased up to 1.5 degree Celsius. As a result of this rapid rat race toward physical development, countries are not mitigating any of these greenhouse gases and moving toward clean energy.

However, two-thirds of the countries’ global greenhouse gas emission is linked to burning fossil fuel for energy to be used for electricity transport and industry. Even though countries hit the targets, still it will rise by more than 2 degree Celsius over the next 20 years. This a huge cogitation but unfortunately people haven’t understood the devastative impacts of this. Changes are happening rapidly because large amounts of greenhouse gasses are released into the atmosphere as a result of many human activities worldwide. Now it is time to move to clean energy sources.

Becoming the most powerful and developed countries in the world European countries are the largest emitters of greenhouse gases being responsible for 78% of total fuel emission. No matter how tremendous it is, the most powerful nations will always rely upon harmful gases. For them what matters is so-called development but not in a much ethical and sustainable way. The most ironical fact is that China becoming the largest market for wind and solar power, also has a huge number of coal fire plants.

Only a very few countries are taking a step forward for clean energy. countries like Gambia and Morocco are two of the developing countries in the world which use clear energy in a very effective manner. More than 60 businesses 20+countries and about five regions in the world have taken the necessary steps to move 100% emission-free transport including cars and motorcycles. Norway has set targets to discard all forms of fossil fuel cars and buses by the year 2025. Some countries in the world are even developing carbon-free products. On the other hand, the European Union has adopted a binding climate and energy targets for the future. Anyway, another harmful aspect is that even all the countries in the world hit the target still it will rise more than 2 degree Celsius over the next 70 years which is a huge doldrum not only for us but also the future generation. So, there is no time to think but to act.

Time is running, the temperature is increasing and man never stops. Globally every country in the world has a prime duty to have a fresh start with clean energy. Moreover, if we point a finger towards a country or society, we shouldn’t t forget that we are also a part of that particular society or the country. As responsible citizens, even we should ban greenhouse gases and should move to renewable electricity and green gases.

Therefore, we should never forget the importance of clean energy related to climatic changes. Else it will cause devastative impacts not only for us but also for our future generation. World will veritably become a better place if clean energy would become a regular habit of people.
