Agriculture is the method that growing or producing food, feed, plants and other special human needs.

The main purpose of agriculture is produce foods. Farming is the other word that we use instead of agriculture. There are different types of agriculture such as Shifting cultivation, Nomadic herding, mixed farming etc. By the way it uses different equipment and technology for each agricultural type.

The very begging of agriculture used simple hand tools and technology such as rakes, chaff cutters, hoes and sickles etc. On the other hand, farm animals contribute to improve our agriculture.With the evolution of world agriculture technology and equipment turn to automation. Automation is the turning point of agriculture.

Tractor is the very good replacement of animals. It can do many things and ,The automation of agriculture performs with the "Artificial intelligent”, based on mix of mechanics and electronics.It called mechatronics or robotics. Automation associate with the robotics innovation to develop drones, autonomous tractors, robotic harvesters, automatic watering and seeding robots.

First we consider Autonomous Tractors. It can be controlled by remotely and all the tools that tractor has controlled automatically . It improves the driverless technology and implement control.

The other thing is that the harvest automation. As the result of harvest automation it made harvest robots and mobile platform . Harvest robots handle the harvest efficiency, work 24 hours and neglect damage harvest. The first robot is Agrobot and use it for harvesting strawberries.


The another most important thing is that seeding and weeding. It can reduce labor and mundane tasks a seeding automation, picked fruits and performed some pertains such as ploughing, seed dispensing etc.
In weeding automation, robot develop to identify and spray the pesticide. The process of automation seeding robots develop around the AVR mega microcontroller and the navigation is controlled by ultrasonic sensor. When you want to control manually robot use Bluetooth . Sometime farmers need to check the humidity in each places. So humidity sensors are places at various places and automatically send the alert by GSM modules (alerting mechanism).


By the way drones are the another equipment that use in today agriculture. With the automation technology drones use to tracking and distribution. Drones are help to understand the status, resources and productivity of their farms.

Drones use in distribution to spreading seeds, chemicals and pesticides. On the other hand, farmers can see the plantation everyday by using drones. In short farmers can see the plantation in bird eye and it helps to develop communication in automatic agriculture.

In recent there is a problem that disappearing bees. They help to maintain the agricultural production level as pollinators. But drones supplement the remaining bees as pollination.

With the automation technology, a company ‘Smart Ag’ has introduced the driverless tractor technology form of ‘Auto Cart’ software. It is basically used AI system and it can recognize voice, identify health and temperature etc.

The other turning point of automation agriculture is Genetic editing. It helps to start genetic surgeries by using CRISPR/Cas9.This allow to identify, replace or remove DNA.As the result of this it can produce a hybrid plants and large harvest.

The GPS system or Global Positioning system is another technical system that used in automaton agriculture. From the Satellite Navigation GPS system can receive the location, velocity and time, date etc.

On the other hand, there are lot of advantages such as higher production rates and increased productivity, more efficient use of materials, better product quality, reduce time and laborers and improved safety etc.

So there are lot of technical development in agriculture field. Due to this automation all the things we can do efficiently. Agriculture automation is a big turning point of world.
