'Eco-friendly construction methods' are the most suitable ways to move forward with the globe today. The world is moving with technology and development nowadays mostly because of that it reduces the consideration of the ecological facts. Nowadays people assume about just only development and moving with technological things but forget about the facts that we need to consider for living on this earth to maintain human life styles. Ozonosphere, garbage recycling, acid rains, cancers are the major problems today, and reducing oxygen should be considered the most when it comes to developing eco-friendly constructions. ‘Forest and woods’ are the major things those are destroying nowadays for developing. The word is ‘Conservation’ should be replaced instead of ‘developing’ because development and technology should be possible only through moving with ecology. Eco-friendly construction methods are used in the world and Sri Lanka as well nowadays.

The reason is not being eco-friendly in today’s world is mainly people just only think about how can we develop the country, think to increase only buildings more and more, assume 'developing' is essential which can be replaced instead of the environmental values. People think to move with new technologies try to develop new systems, programs, prototypes, real world solutions and scenarios and use them without assuming about ecology. The real problem is people don’t need to ensure the environment is safe and earth is safe to live but the only thing they consider ‘developing’. The current population all around the world goes high and increase with manipulating resources more and more developing the cities towns technologies instead of eco systems .

The whole world now understands this problem and tries to build systems and constructions eco-friendly. Sri Lanka is a little bit new to these eco-friendly construction methods but there have some places those are used eco-friendly methods There are some projects and researches are available in Sri Lanka but the constructions and systems are limited .

The great innovation of this method is when it comes to building constructions great to use green roofs, electrochromic smart glasses and green walls if possible and use eco-friendly systems. For example, in building complex it can be replaced small green plants vegetable plants ,flowers, herbal plants and fruit plants and bushes on walls and roofs .Apart from that indoor green concepts can be used hence oxygen percentage will be increased and provide a better environment.

Another great innovation is live walls to make constructions eco-friendly. This method has increased productivity, air quality, beauty, and good to the eyes. Live walls release our stress and mental problems with the green color which is healthy to people's minds. The method is useful for us to consider green, trees, and ecology. Sri Lanka has higher education institutes and universities those are provided the above mentioned examples and methods and construct the universities according to the green concepts.

Solar power for and recycling water efficiency technologies is one of the most affected methods when we move with construction .Solar power , natural sunlight usage and diverting into energy inspire to low maintenance cost ,low paying bills and because of sunlight in to electricity provision with reducing using gas or electricity .Water efficiency sustainable construction technology reuse and apply the water systems in efficient way .It will be reduced the wastage of water, water pollution and ensure the efficient water recycling and redirect to the harvesting sides. Controlling works with limited paper works can be helpful to reduce forest destroying because they are made from trees and plants related parts .These methods are some of the important methods which are significant how can we implemented the ‘green’ concepts.

The Universities and private sector organizations those are located in Sri Lanka is one of the real-world examples where use all these green concepts with achieving the objectives of the institute. It recycling whole the garbage and manage them inside the institute. Waste management is manipulated according to the categorization and recycling methods .leaves ,papers and glasses differently categorized in these places . There are several higher education centers both private and government sectors in Sri Lanka to provide as example for this green concepts and eco-friendly methods.

According to the green concepts, there is a technique that uses the Green SL labeling system introduced by the Green Building Council of Sri Lanka. The major role of this building construction is converting construction into sustainable green construction. This passes eco-labels/green labels to eco-friendly criteria provided by the government. This method covers many areas called raw materials, waste management, innovation, transportation, manufacturing, life cycle assessments, conformity to standards, and social responsibility. Here it shows in the above fields it can be raw materials, manufacture those products should be produced with green concepts. Waste management also an important factor which should be considered because recycling and reusing is the essential part when it comes to eco-friendly methods.

Apart from these things when we considering eco-friendly constructions, we have so many benefits which lead to a healthy and good for human beings. It leads us to low maintenance and operational cost. Being eco-friendly all things are going simple and low energy with simple technologies it is easy to achieve the objectives. The second one is energy efficiency the reason is to use unlimited sunlight instead of artificial light and sources because it pollutes and expensive of non-renewable. Then it increases indoor eco-quality, water, and material efficiency. The last point of benefit that I’m going to explain is reduced strain on local resources. We have only limited resources for energy which is limited for another 50 years. We can solve the issue by replacing eco-friendly and natural resources to moving with the developing world.

There is a huge responsibility for all of us to deal with development according to the eco-friendly methods. If we construct projects according to these concepts it leads to a good and healthy lifestyle and good for the environment as well. It can increase the green view and plants for everywhere all around the world even in small areas as well.
