AUTOMATION IN AGRICULTURAL EQUIPMENTS AND TECHNOLOGY
The new technologies are widely use for the agriculture in all the world these days. The efficiency of the Agricultural farms are increased by these new automations and also the livestock production cycle. Drones, Autonomous Tractors, robotic harvesters, automatic watering, and seeding robots are the newest technologies used in the agriculture.
As an example, let`s see How drones are used in the agriculture. It takes large time to check the entire farm by foot for the farmers. But If we use the Drones the time taken to check the entire farm can be easily reduced. Drones can be used to checkup on the Pest attacks, apply fertilizers & pesticides in the farm. Also, this technology is adapting everyday with the new additions to easy the agricultural ways.

It is very difficult to find the optimum human resources to the agriculture these days and it will cost greatly, but if we use automations like Robots with the human resources exits our farms then the Efficiency of the process will go higher and the Labour cost can be reduced.
3. Reduced Environment Footprint: By using Automations and softwares we can analyze the growth, water, fertilizer needs for the near exact amount and that will help to reduce the unnecessary usages, practices, and the total impact by the humans for the environment will decrease.
Automations can be used to the time management of the process and make the agricultural process easier. In Sri Lanka, farmers are commonly use Combine Harvesters to Harvest their crop. But in the past Farmers didn’t have any automations to support their production process and they depend entirely on the human resource and the animals for the cultivating. Therefore, it took a long time harvest the crop at that time but today it can be easily done by using these automations with high efficiency and less time in a large area. Agriculture is the backbone of the community. It fulfills one of the greatest needs of the mankind. But human population is increasing every day, due to that the food requirements are also increasing. World hunger is a major matter in the world. Therefore, as Manufacturing engineers it`s our duty & the responsibility to keep research and develop the Automations and the technologies then that can be used in agriculture then the Mass production can be archived, and it will help to decrees the hunger of all over the world.
